Location and access

Las Garillas is in the Coquimbo Region of north-central Chile, approximately 308 km north of Santiago and about 90 km south-east of Coquimbo, a Pacific port. The property is accessible year-round by existing roads, has favourable topography and sits within reach of grid power, contractors and laboratories. It is about seven kilometres by road from the Company's Carmona property, inside the same structural corridor.

Geology of Las Garillas

The property lies in the Central Cretaceous-Palaeocene Copper-Gold Belt, with Oro Brillante on the Vicuña Fault system at the belt's eastern boundary. Most of the project is underlain by granitic rocks; the east side carries a volcano-sedimentary package of pyroclastic volcanics and sandstone. Three deposit styles are present or indicated: high-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver veins, porphyry copper-gold mineralization, and skarns.

Drilling has confirmed mineralized intrusive and structurally controlled zones: granodioritic and granitic intrusions with strong hydrothermal alteration, a sulphide assemblage of pyrite and chalcopyrite with minor sphalerite and molybdenite, and widespread quartz-carbonate veining in stockwork, vein and breccia settings. The alteration system is 200 to 600 metres wide and controlled by a major northwest-southeast structural corridor. The Company interprets the overall system as having potential for bulk-tonnage, porphyry-style mineralization at depth beneath the high-grade veins.

The Oro Brillante concession

Oro Brillante is a 104-hectare internal claim in the south-eastern corner of Las Garillas that includes the historic Oro Brillante mine. Since 2019, Kairos and its predecessor have sampled surface outcrops and the mine faces in shallow artisanal adits. Underground and surface sampling returned 1.9 to 61.4 g/t gold, 9.6 to 325 g/t silver and 0.3 to 12.3% copper. Across the wider property, 183 surface rock samples were collected, 142 assayed at or above detection, the highest ran 46.0 g/t gold and the average was 1.66 g/t gold. The strongest surface result reported to date is 61.0 g/t gold with 2.85% copper and 329 g/t silver.

Those results led to an option agreement in January 2024 and, after a first drill program, to outright purchase. Kairos made the final payment on January 15, 2025 and holds Oro Brillante 100%, free of third-party royalties and net smelter returns.

Exploration history

  1. 2019 to 2023: surface and underground samplingStream sediment, soil and rock sampling across the property; mine-face sampling at Oro Brillante identified high-grade vein swarms.
  2. January to February 2024: geophysicsFive lines totalling 5,800 metres of electrical resistivity and induced polarization, oriented northwest-southeast and parallel to each other.
  3. April 2024: Phase One drillingFive diamond drill holes, about 1,500 metres, each to roughly 300 metres depth, on IP targets within Oro Brillante. Assays received December 2024 showed multiple stacked high-grade intercepts, open at depth and along strike, with lanthanum values to 2,860 ppm flagged for follow-up.
  4. 2025: Phase Two drillingFive diamond drill holes totalling 1,516.5 metres, 3D geological modelling, and an updated NI 43-101 technical report filed ahead of the TSXV listing. Most intercepts within 50 metres of surface.
  5. June 2026 onward: Phase Three drillingTen holes, about 3,100 metres of infill drilling along the structural corridor, permitted through SERNAGEOMIN, budgeted at about US$1.3 million and intended to support a mineral resource estimate.

Drill results at Oro Brillante

Notable Phase Two intercepts as reported August 13, 2025. Intervals are drilled lengths; true widths are not yet determined.

HoleIntervalGold gradeIncluding
OB-01-2525.8 m1.90 g/t Au5.96 m at 5.79 g/t Au and 1.96 m at 8.35 g/t Au
OB-02-2531.60 m1.13 g/t Au3.60 m at 3.27 g/t Au
OB-03-2521.40 m3.16 g/t Au4.00 m at 8.91 g/t Au

Phase One (2024) holes 01, 02 and 05 returned multiple stacked high-grade intercepts; hole 02 was drilled perpendicular to hole 01 and intersected the hole 05 zone, confirming continuity between holes. The full Phase One intercept table is in the January 28, 2025 news release. Across both phases, drilling intersected disseminated mineralization with assay values reaching 14.9 g/t gold, 0.51% copper and 54.7 g/t silver.

Phase Three: what it is designed to prove

Phase Three is the first program at Oro Brillante built for resource definition rather than discovery. Its ten holes are spaced to test the continuity of mineralization between existing holes and to follow extensions at depth along the northwest-southeast corridor. If continuity holds, the data supports a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. Results will be disseminated as assays are received. A portion of the July 2026 financing may be used to expand the program if results warrant.

Questions about Las Garillas

What is the Las Garillas Project?

Las Garillas is Kairos Gold's flagship gold project: about 2,000 hectares across 10 claims in the Coquimbo Region of Chile, roughly 308 km north of Santiago, in the Central Cretaceous-Palaeocene Copper-Gold Belt. It hosts the 104-hectare Oro Brillante concession, where all drilling to date has taken place.

What is Oro Brillante?

Oro Brillante is a 104-hectare internal claim in the south-eastern corner of Las Garillas that includes the historic Oro Brillante mine. Kairos Gold acquired 100% of it in January 2025 for US$839,664 with no royalties or net smelter return. It lies within the Vicuña Fault system at the eastern edge of the Central Copper-Gold Belt.

What are the drilling results from Oro Brillante?

Phase Two (2025) returned 25.8 m at 1.90 g/t gold in OB-01-25 (including 5.96 m at 5.79 g/t and 1.96 m at 8.35 g/t), 31.60 m at 1.13 g/t gold in OB-02-25 (including 3.60 m at 3.27 g/t) and 21.40 m at 3.16 g/t gold in OB-03-25 (including 4.00 m at 8.91 g/t). Across both phases, drilling assays reached 14.9 g/t gold, 0.51% copper and 54.7 g/t silver, with most intercepts within 50 metres of surface.

What is the Phase Three drill program?

A 10-hole, approximately 3,100-metre diamond drill program at Oro Brillante that began in June 2026. It is infill drilling along the northwest-southeast structural corridor designed to improve continuity and confidence and to support a NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. The budget is about US$1.3 million and assays are released as they arrive.
