Gold exploration projects in Chile's Coquimbo Region

Three projects, about 17,200 hectares, all inside Andean belts that host some of Chile's largest gold, silver and copper deposits. One is drilling now, one is funded and next, one gives the portfolio porphyry-scale upside.

Where the projects are

All three properties sit in the Coquimbo Region of north-central Chile, roughly 300 km north of Santiago and about 90 km south-east of the port city of Coquimbo. Las Garillas and Carmona are about seven kilometres apart by road inside the same northwest-southeast structural corridor of the Central Cretaceous-Palaeocene Copper-Gold Belt. La Fortuna lies further into the Andes on the western edge of the San Felix thrust and fold belt, in the Eocene-Miocene Andean Mega Porphyry Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Belt.

The region has paved highway access, grid power, ports and a deep pool of drilling contractors and geologists. Every Kairos property is accessible year-round by existing roads.

Flagship, drilling

Las Garillas and Oro Brillante

High-sulphidation epithermal veins with porphyry and skarn potential. Ten holes and 3,003 m drilled in 2024 and 2025; Phase Three (10 holes, about 3,100 m) underway to support a first mineral resource estimate.

Cornerstone, funded

Carmona

Three gold-silver bearing high-sulphidation epithermal alteration systems over about 18 km², an old pre-Columbian mining camp, and historical vein grades of 50 to 76 g/t gold. Phase One exploration and drilling is funded.

Porphyry belt

La Fortuna

Eight priority target areas with large gold, silver and copper enriched hydrothermal alteration zones near Pascua-Lama and El Morro. Composite chip samples from four zones ran 0.47 to 13.5 g/t gold.

What geological belts are Kairos Gold's projects in?

Chile's Andes are organised into north-south metallogenic belts, each formed during a different period of magmatism. Two of them matter to Kairos Gold.

Central Cretaceous-Palaeocene Copper-Gold Belt

Hosts Las Garillas and Carmona. It is known for porphyry copper-gold systems, high-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver veins and skarns, and for deposits with long production lives. Oro Brillante sits within the Vicuña Fault system at the eastern boundary of the belt. The nearby Carmen de Andacollo mine is an operating example of the belt's copper-gold endowment.

Eocene-Miocene Andean Mega Porphyry Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Belt

Hosts La Fortuna. This is the belt of Chile's giant porphyry deposits, where large, concentrated bodies of copper, gold and molybdenum mineralization make bulk-tonnage mining economic. La Fortuna's neighbours include Pascua-Lama and El Morro.
