A porphyry-belt property
La Fortuna sits in the Eocene-Miocene Andean Mega Porphyry Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Belt, the belt known for large, concentrated deposits that are economically advantageous to mine. The property lies on the western edge of the San Felix thrust and fold belt, near major deposits such as Pascua-Lama and El Morro, and is accessible year-round via major roads.
Targets and sampling
Eight priority target areas have been identified to date, with significant alteration zones in the Casablanca South and Fortuna zones. The property contains several large gold, silver and copper enriched hydrothermal alteration zones, the classic surface signature of porphyry systems. Composite chip samples from the four zones sampled so far returned 0.47 to 13.5 g/t gold, 0.1 to 0.88% copper and 1 to 15 g/t silver.
Role in the portfolio
Las Garillas and Carmona are high-grade epithermal targets that can be drilled to a resource quickly. La Fortuna is different: it is where the portfolio carries bulk-tonnage porphyry potential. The Company's current capital is committed to Oro Brillante and Carmona; La Fortuna advances through target definition until a drill program is warranted.

Questions about La Fortuna
What is the La Fortuna Project?
La Fortuna is a 7,700-hectare, 29-claim property in Chile's Eocene-Miocene Andean Mega Porphyry Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Belt, on the western edge of the San Felix thrust and fold belt near Pascua-Lama and El Morro. It gives Kairos Gold exposure to porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum systems alongside the high-grade epithermal targets at Las Garillas and Carmona.
What has been found at La Fortuna?
